Forevermore
Tossing waves, crash against the coast
over the skeleton of a battered boat
Not the first, nor the last to meet its doom upon this beach
The wind rips the sails like tearing cloth, rending it from reach
The sea breaks the boards like brittle bones
With each crash of thunderclouds, the ship takes its last movements
Stuttering, gasping, like the dying breath of man
The ship is gone beneath the waves, like one lost at sea
Its watery grave, the ocean floor, lost forevermore
